Hi
This is my forge. I took up welding in 2017 to facilitate my other passion - refurbishment of classic Land Rovers....
....I took my passion with me to college to study Blacksmithing once I'd retired....
...today my pal, Mischa, and I run as a collective designing, forging and crafting bespoke metalwork pieces (she's the talented one!)
My Background
I have recently finished a long and varied career in communications engineering, and I am now free to spend my time on metalwork.
My Medium
A lot of my materials are salvaged metals, including horseshoes from local yards and stud farms. I work with steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
My Inspiration
My Inspiration
My inspiration comes from necessity. If I can make something that is useful, or prevents it from being thrown away, then my job is done.
